Education ministry, UAE delegation follow up on Digital School Project in Amman

Amman, May 19 (Petra) – Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Ajarmeh, affirmed the "deep brotherly" Jordanian- UAE relations in various fields, mainly education.
During his visit on Tuesday to Aysha Umm Al Muamnin Basic School for Girlsin Amman, Ajarmeh said the Digital School project is the outcome of joint work with the United Arab Emirates, which aims to integrate technology into the educational process, implement digital transformation practically, and achieve a "tangible" learning impact in the long term.
Ajarmeh said this project began in 2022 within the framework of the humanitarian dimension for Syrian refugee students, noting the ministry launched the Digital School project now in 15 schools in Amman Qasaba and University District Education directorates.
Ajarmeh expressed his gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for their support and to the initiative's administration.
He also noted the ministry will work to expand the project in the future to cover the Kingdom's remaining areas, both in the northern and southern regions.
Ajarmeh attended part of a digital school lesson for 10th-grade students in mathematics and listened to the students' concerns over challenges and key needs for expanding this project.
In a related event, the Ministry of Education honored outstanding schools, teachers, and students participating in the Digital School project on Tuesday.
Ajarmeh stated this step will support teachers during the teaching process, enhance learning, and provide a technology-enhanced educational experience covering the curriculum from 1st-12th grades.
On its axes, he said this experience features digital lessons, educational videos, interactive activities, and applications that enable teachers to create electronic tests, which would empower students with the necessary digital skills.
As for its scope, he said training targeted 800 teachers and school principals on digital programs that contributed to building their capacities and empowering them digitally.
