Cairo, Oct. 5 (Petra) -- Egypt condemned the continued Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, including the resumption of excavation and military construction work in the Quneitra countryside.

Egypt also condemned continued Israeli incursions into other areas of southern Syria. It described the actions as a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, of international law and of the 1974 disengagement agreement.

In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry categorically rejected all Israeli moves and measures that would entrench a new reality on the ground.

It stressed the need to respect Syria's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and called for withdrawal from occupied Syrian territories.
