Egypt, EU Stress Full Implementation of Gaza Ceasefire

Cairo, Jan 10 (Petra) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, on Saturday stressed the need for the full implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, ensuring the regular and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid into the enclave, and rejecting any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land.
During their meeting in Cairo, the two sides underscored the urgency of accelerating the start of Gaza’s reconstruction and resuming the political process toward achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace, in accordance with the two-state solution.
They also discussed a number of international issues, emphasizing the importance of resolving crises through peaceful means in a manner that preserves the unity and integrity of states and the resources of their peoples.
