Amman, Oct. 18 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has reissued a tender for technical services aimed at improving Jordan's oil and petroleum product storage capacity, inviting qualified local and international companies specializing in technical and consulting services to submit bids.
According to the tender documents, the project seeks to assess existing oil and petroleum product storage capacity, identify future storage requirements, explore strategic and commercial opportunities, and develop an optimal strategy for expanding storage facilities in line with international best practices.
In a statement issued Sunday, the ministry said eligible companies must have at least 10 years of experience in consulting projects related to the oil sector and provide details of at least three similar engineering consultancy projects completed over the past decade.
The submitted projects must demonstrate experience in petroleum product storage studies, strategic reserve planning, storage capacity optimization, energy infrastructure development, feasibility studies, master planning, and technical and economic assessments.
The ministry set Oct. 20 as the deadline for submitting inquiries and requests for clarification regarding the tender.
Interested companies were asked to send their inquiries to generals@memr.gov.jo, copying eman.awad@memr.gov.jo and hana.alzuabi@memr.gov.jo.
Under the tender requirements, bidders must submit a bid bond of $9,000 issued by a local bank in a separate sealed envelope.
The bond must be issued in the name of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in his official capacity and include tender number 11/M/WORKS/2026 and its title, "Technical Services for Improving Oil and Petroleum Product Storage Capacities in Jordan." The ministry stipulated that both the bid bond and the submitted offer must remain valid for 120 days from the date of submission. It also required the bidder's name to match exactly the name listed in the company's commercial register and registration certificate.
The ministry urged interested companies to review the complete tender documents, conditions and requirements through its official website, www.memr.gov.jo, under the tenders section.
