Amman, June 13 (Petra) -- Media reports have indicated that the England national team, competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, was the victim of a theft involving training equipment while the items were being transported from the team's preparatory camp in Florida to its official training base in Kansas City.

According to the British newspaper The Times, the Football Association is still assessing the extent of the stolen items. Staff members contacted local police at the team’s training facility in Swope Soccer Village, where two individuals were reportedly arrested in connection with the incident.

England head coach Thomas Tuchel and the squad were scheduled to arrive in Kansas City on Saturday ahead of an open training session set to begin at 5 p.m.

The newspaper reported that the incident caused disruption among Football Association staff, who are working to recover the missing equipment, including training balls and other essential supplies.

Meanwhile, the *Daily Mail* reported that some players’ football boots were among the stolen items.

The Football Association declined to comment in detail, with a spokesperson stating only that the organization remains in contact with law enforcement authorities.

For its part, the Kansas City Police Department told the *Daily Mail* that it is investigating a suspected theft of equipment from a team vehicle. Police confirmed that several items were reported missing on Friday evening and said the investigation remains ongoing.
