Amman, Feb. 15 -- Boeing, in collaboration with Amideast Jordan and the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS), launched the "Veteran Entrepreneurship Program" to help wounded veterans establish their own businesses.
The initiative builds on an earlier Amideast Jordan-Boeing-HCDS program that prepared injured military personnel for employment in the tourism and aviation sectors.
The new, in-person program will be held in Amman over seven months and will support 16 injured veterans from Amman and central and northern governorates. Participants will receive practical entrepreneurship training and market-aligned professional guidance tailored to local needs.
It includes 76 hours of structured training, as well as workshops, networking sessions, and coaching, covering core business skills including business planning, financial management, market readiness, and resilience-building.

Amideast Jordan Country Director Nour Al Rasheed said the program reflects Amideast’s ongoing commitment to creating quality economic opportunities for injured veterans and their families.
She said the program integrates digital literacy, specialized entrepreneurship training, and psychosocial support, enabling participants to convert their skills into sustainable ventures that provide long-term income and financial independence.
She added that Amideast will leverage its partner network to connect participants with experienced mentors and trainers and provide business support services to refine ideas and improve the prospects of project success.
The program is supported by Joramco Academy, which will contribute to capacity-building, provide digital resource packages, and deliver ongoing support throughout the program.
The program is presented as a replicable model for advancing an inclusive economic system through public-private partnership, supporting injured veterans and their families in transitioning from military service to civilian work and strengthening stability and prosperity.
