Amman, March 2 (Petra) - European gas prices recorded another sharp rise of about 50 percent after liquefied natural gas (LNG) production in Qatar was halted following Iranian attacks on two of its operational facilities.
According to Bloomberg News, prices earlier on Monday jumped by more than 45 percent amid concerns that the war with Iran could disrupt energy supplies from the Gulf region.
State-owned energy company QatarEnergy announced on Monday the suspension of LNG production due to a military attack on its operational facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City.
