European shares rise as lower oil prices lift markets, London lags

Amman, May 5 (Petra) -- European shares closed higher on Tuesday, except in London, supported by a decline in oil prices.

The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 rose 0.7%, with gains across most sectors.

According to Bloomberg, France’s CAC 40 in Paris climbed 1.08%, while Germany’s DAX in Frankfurt gained 1.71%. Italy’s FTSE MIB in Milan rose 2.27%.
