Amman, Aug. 8 (Petra) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi held a phone call on Saturday with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani.

The two ministers discussed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two kingdoms and affirmed their commitment to strengthening them and building on the progress achieved in bilateral ties in service of their shared interests.

They also discussed regional developments and efforts aimed at ending the escalation, restoring calm and achieving security and stability in the region, as well as ensuring freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Safadi and Al Zayani also discussed several issues of mutual interest and prospects for strengthening joint Arab action. They agreed to continue bilateral coordination and consultations, as well as cooperation within regional and international multilateral organizations, on regional and international issues.
