Berlin, April 16 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi continued his meetings in Berlin on Thursday.

During his visit to Berlin, Safadi met with Niels Annen, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and several members of the German Federal Parliament.

Safadi also participated in a dialogue session hosted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

According to a Foreign Ministry statement, talks addressed ways to strengthen the Jordanian-German partnership and efforts aimed at ending the escalation of the region's tensions and the role of diplomacy in promoting security and stability.

Safadi's discussions with Annen focused on development and economic cooperation with Germany.

Both Safadi and Annen called for continuing to expand cooperation programs in several vital sectors, including water, education, and vocational training.

Safadi expressed his appreciation for Germany's ongoing support for Jordan's development projects and its assistance in addressing the repercussions of regional crises.

Additionally, Safadi stressed the need to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to enable it to continue its vital role in its 5 areas of operation, expressing his appreciation for Germany's support of the agency.

Concluding his visit to Germany today, he began with extensive talks with German Foreign Minister Dr. Johann David Wadephul on bilateral relations and regional issues.

From Berlin, Safadi will travel to Türkiye to participate in the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum and hold talks with several of his counterparts attending the event.
