Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra) – Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah on Tuesday underlined the government’s commitment to empowering the Jordan Exports Company to advance its strategic mandate in export development and trade promotion.

During a meeting at the company’s headquarters, Qudah said the Company functions as the promotional arm of the Kingdom’s Chambers of Industry and plays a central role in supporting national enterprises and facilitating their access to international markets.

He stressed the need to broaden the exporter base and unlock new opportunities for productive sectors by targeting high-potential markets in East Africa, Canada, and Europe, as part of efforts to diversify export destinations and enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian goods and services.

Qudah said the partnership between the Jordan Exports and the Chambers of Industry represents a key pillar in implementing the National Export Plan, derived from the Economic Modernization Vision. He noted that this institutional integration strengthens coordination and translates policy objectives into measurable outcomes.

Chairperson of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry Fathi Jaghbir said the chambers fully support the company’s efforts, highlighting its instrumental role in strengthening the export ecosystem and expanding international market access for national industries.

He added that the coming phase will witness intensified coordination to ensure sustainable export growth and expand the pool of exporting companies.

Chairperson of Jordan Exports Maher Mutalka said the company continues to roll out specialized and innovative programs in cooperation with the chambers of industry, aimed at enhancing export readiness, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises, and enabling first-time entry into foreign markets. He said these initiatives will contribute to building a broader and more sustainable export base and reinforcing the national economy’s growth and expansion capacity.
