Baghdad, March 26 (Petra)-- Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday firmly rejected any attack or targeting of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing that the security of Arab states is an integral part of Iraq’s national security.

In a statement, the ministry affirmed that the security of Jordan, the Gulf countries, and all Arab nations is inseparable from Iraq’s own national security, emphasizing that regional stability serves the shared interests of all its peoples.

The statement added that Iraq remains committed to a balanced foreign policy based on building cooperative and mutually respectful relations with countries in the region and around the world. It highlighted the importance of joint efforts to enhance security security and stability and reduce tensions in a way that serves common interests and spares the region further escalation. The ministry also confirmed that Iraqi security agencies continue to coordinate and cooperate with their counterparts in sisterly and friendly countries. It expressed full readiness to receive any information or evidence regarding attacks launched from Iraqi territory against neighboring states and to address such incidents responsibly and swiftly.

Furthermore, the statement noted that the Iraqi government is maintaining communication with allied countries to support initiatives aimed at ending ongoing conflicts and returning to diplomatic solutions and political dialogue. These efforts, it said, are essential to minimizing harm to regional populations and economies, and to achieving lasting security and stability for all.
