Beirut, May 8 (Petra)-- Nine Lebanese civilians, including two children, were killed and 20 others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon on Friday.

A Lebanese security source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) correspondent in Beirut that the strikes were concentrated on villages in the Nabatieh and Tyre governorates in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Health Ministry Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that the overall toll of the Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,759 people killed and 8,512 wounded.
