Beirut, June 10 (Petra) -- Fourteen people were killed Wednesday in Israeli airstrikes targeting the towns of Deir Qanoun an-Naher in the Tyre district and Tayr Debba in southern Lebanon, according to a Lebanese security source.
The source told the Jordan News Agency's correspondent in Beirut that Israeli artillery shelling also struck the towns of Houmine al-Faouqa and Ghassaniya, while several houses were demolished in the town of Ghandouriya in the Bint Jbeil district.
The source said an Israeli patrol "abducted a member and an employee of the Kfarchouba municipality while they were operating a water station on the outskirts of the town," adding that they were taken to an unknown location.
