Beirut, March 23 (Petra) – Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes Monday evening targeting residential areas in Beirut's southern suburbs and towns in southern Lebanon.

A Lebanese security source reported that five strikes were conducted in total. Three hit the Sayyid Al Shuhada complex in Roueiss, the Burj Al Barajneh neighbourhood and the Bir Al Abed neighbourhood in Beirut's southern suburbs, while two others targeted the towns of Beit Leef and Bayada in southern Lebanon.
