Amman, Jan. 11 (Petra) – Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, received the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan, Shahin Abdullayev, at the General Command headquarters on Sunday. The high-level meeting focused on a comprehensive review of the strategic defense relationship between the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and their Azerbaijani counterparts.

The discussions centered on intensifying military coordination and exploring new avenues for defense cooperation to serve the mutual interests of both nations. Both parties deliberated on the latest regional and international security developments, emphasizing the need for streamlined communication channels to address regional challenges.

Major General Huneiti underscored the necessity of deepening this strategic partnership to support international efforts in maintaining global peace and security. In response, Ambassador Abdullayev expressed his profound appreciation for Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in anchoring regional stability. He further commended the JAF for its high level of professionalism and technical proficiency in modern military operations.
