Amman, April 12 (Petra) -- The Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) has officially launched its 2026 sacrificial meat (Adhahi) campaign, aimed at distributing aid to underprivileged families across Jordan, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.
Ahmad Al-Falahat, Vice President of the JEA, Chairman of the Social Responsibility Fund, and head of the initiative, stated that the campaign seeks to reach families in "poverty pockets" throughout governorates. The initiative is being coordinated through the association’s local branches and in partnership with community organizations to ensure efficient delivery to those most in need.
This year’s campaign has set a target to distribute 2,000 uḍḥiyah, which is expected to provide food security for approximately 12,000 families in both Jordan and Palestine. Al-Falahat noted that the initiative is a core component of the JEA’s social responsibility mission, designed to support the local community and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people during challenging humanitarian conditions.
The JEA highlighted the success of the previous year’s campaign, which managed to purchase 2,996 uḍḥiyah at a total cost of JD300,000. This track record, according to Al-Falahat, reflects the high level of public trust in the association’s ability to manage large-scale charitable projects and ensure that aid reaches its rightful recipients.
By facilitating these donations, the association aims to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable households and reinforce the values of social solidarity and compassion within the region.
