Amman, Feb 10 (Petra) - The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has launched a series of training programs under its empowerment and impact projects in the southern governorates, starting with Karak, as part of an approach aimed at enhancing economic and social empowerment and transforming local skills into real and sustainable productive opportunities within communities.

According to a JHCO statement issued on Tuesday, the training is part of the ARZAQ Project. It included a felting needle training course for producing handmade items for 10 women, a three-dimensional (3D) art training using foam with the participation of 10 women, and a carpentry training program targeting 12 men, aimed at developing practical skills applicable in the local labor market.

The activities also included the Tama’na Project for psychological support and social assistance through the implementation of the "Morning Coffee" activity, with the participation of 25 women, as part of psychosocial support and efforts to enhance spaces for dialogue and positive communication.

The Tarabot Community Center carried out an interactive theatrical performance involving 140 children, in addition to a T-shirt printing activity, promoting artistic expression and developing children’s creative skills.

The organization said the training programs are part of a comprehensive vision focused on investing in people, building their capacities from within, and strengthening self-reliance. It noted that the southern governorates are a development priority due to their untapped potential and skills that merit support and development.

The JHCO continues to implement its projects across the kingdom in line with its humanitarian and development mission, contributing to tangible and sustainable impact on individuals and communities.
