Amman, May 24 (Petra) -- The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt have condemned in the strongest terms the abhorrent, humiliating, and unacceptable actions taken by extremist Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir against participants of the Gaza-bound flotilla during their detention by Israel.

In a joint statement, the ministers asserted that the deliberate, public humiliation inflicted by Ben-Gvir upon the detainees constitutes a shameful assault on human dignity and a clear violation of Israel's obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

The ministers also denounced and condemned in the strongest terms the unlawful, extremist acts of incitement and violence perpetrated by Ben-Gvir and other Israeli officials against Palestinians across the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Furthermore, the ministers warned that Ben-Gvir's provocative actions fuel hatred and extremism, while obstructing ongoing efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

The statement demanded that Ben-Gvir be held accountable for his actions, calling for concrete measures to put an end to his repeated provocations, incitement, and violations. It urged international action to prevent him from continuing his threats and to ensure that such conduct is neither tolerated nor repeated.

The foreign ministers concluded by emphasizing the critical necessity of protecting human rights, safeguarding the dignity of all detainees, ensuring their humane treatment, and guaranteeing full compliance with international law throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
