Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra) -- The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) announced on Sunday the commencement of manufacturing, equipping, installing, and distributing mobile homes within the Gaza Strip as part of its emergency shelter response amid the ongoing war on Gaza and the severe shortage of safe housing.

The organization said the intervention is being implemented entirely from within Gaza to accelerate response timelines and ensure operational continuity under current field conditions. Local technical teams, operating under the direct supervision and coordination of the JHCO, have begun producing and assembling the caravans and installing them in accordance with humanitarian prioritization criteria targeting the most vulnerable families.

The JHCO said that localizing operations inside Gaza reflects the flexibility of its humanitarian response mechanisms and the readiness of alternative operational modalities, ensuring timely delivery of assistance and translating response plans into tangible interventions that safeguard human dignity and enhance temporary housing stability.

Secretary-General of the JHCO Hussein Shibli said the local production and deployment of mobile homes constitute a practical step to strengthen the effectiveness and scalability of shelter programs. He added that the organization is committed to expanding the intervention in line with evolving needs, in coordination with local partners and supporting entities.

He noted that the initiative is being carried out in cooperation with several partners, including the Jordanian Relief Campaign, within structured operational frameworks designed to ensure quality implementation and sustainable humanitarian impact.

The organization said that donations remain open to support shelter programs and expand the provision of mobile homes, thereby broadening the scope of emergency assistance in Gaza.

The initiative falls within Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting the Palestinian people. Through its humanitarian institutions, the Kingdom continues to fulfill its humanitarian duty toward the people of Gaza under all circumstances.
