Jordan, China talk expanding media cooperation

Amman, July 7 (Petra) -Ministry of Government Communication is expanding its media partnership with China, as new agreements are set to be signed soon between the two countries' state media outlets.
Deputizing for Minister of Government Communication, Dr. Mohammed Momani, the ministry's Secretary-General, Zaid Nawaiseh, met with Mu Li, Director-General of the China Media Group (CMG) Regional Office in the Middle East, to discuss boosting professional partnerships, training programs, and expertise exchange.
CMG, which is one of China’s largest state media conglomerates, operates a network of multilingual TV, radio, and digital platforms globally.
Nawaiseh expressed Jordan's keenness to deepening ties with Chinese media institutions to serve both nations' mutual interests.
In turn, Mu Li stated that CMG is currently finalizing memorandums of understanding (MoU) with Petra and the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV). Scheduled for signing soon, these agreements will focus on sharing media technology and training areas.
She added that CMG aims to build "sustainable" communication channels with Jordanian media to foster development and cultural exchange.
