Jordan Dispatches Aid Convoy to Lebanon under Royal Directives

Amman, March 11 (Petra) -- Jordan has dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon under directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II, as part of ongoing efforts to support the brotherly country amid current challenges.

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, organized the convoy, which consists of 25 trucks carrying relief supplies, food and medicines prepared within Jordan’s humanitarian response framework.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the organization said the convoy reflects the Kingdom’s continued humanitarian engagement under the leadership of His Majesty the King, aimed at providing assistance to affected communities and reinforcing relief efforts in areas in need.

Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, Dr. Hussein Shibli, said the initiative underscores Jordan’s longstanding humanitarian approach in supporting sisterly countries during crises. He noted that the organization works in coordination with national institutions to ensure aid is delivered efficiently and reaches its intended beneficiaries.

Shibli added that the convoy forms part of Jordan’s broader efforts to assist Lebanon, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to mobilizing its logistical and humanitarian capabilities to deliver aid amid the current circumstances.

He stressed that the organization will continue to carry out its humanitarian mission in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces and in coordination with official authorities and humanitarian partners to ensure the continued delivery of relief assistance to those in need across affected areas.
