Amman, July 28 (Petra) - Finance Minister Abdelhakim Shibli met on Tuesday with UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Rania Mashat in Amman and discussed regional developments and their economic fallout across the Middle East. Shibli and Mashat discussed enhancing capacity-building programs and technical support for the Ministry of Finance to refine economic and fiscal policy analysis, boost decision-making, and maintain macroeconomic stability through ongoing regional challenges.

Shibli lauded ESCWA's role in supporting regional socio-economic development through specialized expertise and public policy initiatives.

Mashat pledged ESCWA's commitment to supporting Jordan's economic and fiscal reform priorities, stressing continued technical assistance to bolster sustainable development and resilience against regional crises.
