Amman, July 20 (Petra) - Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi met with EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas on Monday to discuss boosting parliamentary cooperation.
Qadi pointed to the deep ties between Jordan and the EU, expressing the House's appreciation for the bloc's continuous support. He noted that Jordan, under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership, is advancing comprehensive political, economic, and administrative reforms to expand public participation in decision-making.
He iterated the Kingdom's firm stance on regional stability, reaffirming that a two-state solution is the only path to a sovereign Palestinian state.
Chatzisavas, for his part, described Jordan as a highly trusted strategic partner. He praised King Abdullah II’s pivotal role in fostering regional peace and pledged the EU's commitment to supporting the Kingdom across parliamentary, investment, and developmental sectors.
