Amman, May 21 (Petra) -- Jordan accelerated its digital transformation efforts during the first quarter of 2026, with the cumulative digitization rate of government services reaching 82.5 percent under the executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026-2029).

According to the quarterly progress report for the information and communications technology sector under the "Future Services" engine, the total number of digitized government services reached 1,980 services, while activated digital identities climbed to 2.4 million.

The report also showed continued expansion in the use of government digital platforms, with the number of users reaching 725,000.

The government advanced several projects linked to digital transformation and future skills development during the quarter, including the preparation of automation maps for educational activity books across all school grades as part of the first phase of the digital curriculum automation initiative.

Authorities also reviewed applications submitted by individuals seeking to join the "Hafiz" training-for-employment program.

Within the development of the Sanad platform, authorities implemented a series of technical upgrades focused on improving accessibility and user experience.

The updates included automatic activation of digital identities without requiring visits to service stations, direct data updates from official documents, faster and more flexible interfaces, electronic payment integration and access to services without internet connectivity.

The report said authorities also launched a campaign to reactivate inactive accounts using electronic identity verification technology while enabling users to update phone numbers through the same system.

In addition, the government launched an updated official website for the Sanad platform featuring 10 government services and five electronic documents within an integrated digital system.

The application was also introduced on Huawei’s app store alongside additional upgrades involving the enhancement of five services and the inclusion of three digital documents.

In the digital skills sector, the report showed that 600 beneficiaries received training under the Digital Skills Empowerment Program aimed at strengthening youth readiness for the labor market.

Authorities also organized 19 awareness workshops under the Crown Prince Award for Best Government Services Application initiative with participation from 809 students, while applications for the competition were officially opened.

Under the Jordan Growth Project – Phase II, authorities provided 200 employment opportunities through the "Kafa’at" program and trained 120 beneficiaries through digital platforms, while 15 startups and small businesses received support through intermediary programs.

The report also noted Cabinet approval of the amended Real Estate Property Law for 2026.

Meanwhile, within efforts to automate services at the Department of Lands and Survey, authorities launched centralized processing services for surveying procedures and introduced a digital appointment-booking service for declaration hearings.

The government also expanded surveying infrastructure across most regions of the kingdom through network upgrades and the installation of 12 new stations aimed at improving operational efficiency and service quality.
