Amman, July 29 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Al Sabah to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation to strengthen cooperation and support efforts to restore security and stability across the region.
They called for maintaining the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and pursuing a comprehensive solution to the crisis that addresses the root causes of regional tensions, guarantees freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and promotes lasting peace and stability.
Safadi and Sheikh Jarrah reiterated their condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
The ministers discussed the escalating situation in the occupied West Bank, condemning what they described as illegal Israeli measures aimed at entrenching the occupation and altering the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa.
They called for a coordinated and effective regional and international response to these actions.
