Amman, April 21 (Petra) -- Dana Al-Zoubi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, emphasized on Tuesday that empowering women within the industrial sector is a top national priority and a key driver for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

In a statement marking the International Day of Women in Industry, Al-Zoubi noted that Jordanian women have become a significant force for change, contributing to industrial transformation and innovation across all levels from production lines to executive leadership. She stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities to further enhance their participation.

Al-Zoubi added that Jordan is actively working to empower women both legislatively and professionally. This effort focuses not only on technical skills and financing but also on integrating women-led projects into global supply chains, expanding market access, and increasing female representation in decision-making positions.

The Secretary-General called on Jordanian women to further engage in the industrial sector through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship, reaffirming the government’s role as a supportive partner in fostering excellence and leadership within the field.
