Amman, Dec. 9 (Petra) The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Dhaifallah Farajat, discussed on Tuesday with Mexico’s Ambassador to Jordan, Jacobo Prado González, prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of air transport and ways to develop bilateral relations in a manner that serves mutual interests.

The two sides underscored the importance of completing the necessary procedures by both parties to sign the draft air services agreement between Jordan and Mexico, aimed at boosting tourism traffic and facilitating the operation of direct flights between Amman and Mexico City.

Farajat affirmed during the meeting the CARC's keenness to expand areas of cooperation with Mexico, noting that the relations between the two countries form a solid foundation for further joint cooperation in the civil aviation sector. He pointed to the commission’s support for all initiatives that contribute to strengthening the interests of the two friendly countries.

The ambassador expressed his country’s appreciation for the strong ties linking Mexico and Jordan, adding that Mexico is ready to work jointly to enhance these relations and support efforts aimed at developing the air transport sector and opening new horizons for economic and tourism cooperation.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing joint coordination and overcoming challenges to achieve the desired goals while expressing their expectations for further cooperation in the aviation sector in the coming period.
