Amman, April 6 (Petra) -- The Jordan Photography Society announced on Monday the results of its annual "Ramadan Breezes" competition, following a rigorous technical evaluation aimed at ensuring impartiality and artistic excellence.
Hamza Al-Ziyoud, President of the Society, said in a statement that the judging panel conducted a blind review of all entries to guarantee fairness. Submissions were evaluated based on creative execution, technical composition, and how effectively they captured the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month.
The committee narrowed the field to 10 finalists after disqualifying entries that failed to meet established criteria. However, judges opted to withhold the first-place prize this year, determining by majority vote that none of the submissions reached the high artistic standard required for the top honor.
According to the final results, Mohammad Walid secured second place and a JD300 prize. Third place was shared by Jamal Al-Din Abdul Hadi and Khalil Boutros Dababneh, who each received JD200.
The Society expressed its appreciation to all participants and the judging panel, while also recognizing the support of the Al-Jazi Trade Group for its role in the success of the event. Organizers encouraged photographers who were not successful this year to participate in future editions of the competition.
