Amman, August 2 (Petra) - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani discussed relations and regional stability.

In phone talks, Safadi and Al Thani discussed strengthening ties between Amman and Doha while addressing ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.

The top officials urged "all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy." They called for the "full implementation" of agreements under the US–Iran memorandum of understanding, including guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to safeguard regional security and stability.

Both ministers said Jordan and Qatar support diplomatic efforts to defuse tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that addresses the "root causes of regional instability." //Petra// HA
