Amman, June 21 (Petra) -- The national karate team delivered a strong performance at the Senior Asian Karate Championships in Bali, Indonesia, finishing the tournament with four medals, including two golds and two silvers.

The men's team captured Jordan's first gold medal after defeating Iran in the team kumite final to claim the Asian title.

Mohammad Al-Jaafari earned the Kingdom's second gold medal by winning the men's under-84kg event, defeating the UAE's Reda Al-Masoudi 13-3 in the final.

Olympic medalist Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa claimed silver in the men's under-67kg category after losing 9-3 to Kazakhstan's Altynbek in the championship match.

Yara Nasser added another silver medal in the women's over-68kg division, finishing runner-up following a 6-3 defeat to Indonesia's Lika Lobis in the final.

Jordan concluded its campaign at the continental championship with a four-medal tally, reaffirming the national team's strong presence and competitiveness on the Asian karate stage.
