Amman, Oct. 28 (Petra) – The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), and SOFEX Jordan announced on Tuesday the details of the "Cybersecurity Progress, Innovation, and Technology Conference and Exhibition 2025," to be held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II from November 18 to 20.

During a joint press conference, NCSC Chairman, Mohammad Smadi, said the conference represents a "strategic" step to achieve a "safer and more innovative" future, continuing the Crown Prince’s leadership in supporting innovation and building national capabilities in cybersecurity.

Smadi noted the Crown Prince’s patronage of the event reflects his "deep interest" in technology, digital transformation, and cybersecurity as key pillars for Jordan’s economic and security future.

Smadi added that the conference will bring together around 5,000 participants from more than 50 countries, featuring over 40 international and local speakers, positioning the event as a global platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange in cybersecurity.

Smadi said the conference comes at a time of unprecedented acceleration in digital innovation and technological development worldwide, accompanied by growing cyber challenges, emphasizing Jordan’s role as a regional hub for promoting a secure cyber environment and fostering sustainable local, regional, and international partnerships.

For his part, JODDB’s Head of Sales and Business Strategy and official spokesperson for JODDB and CEO of SOFEX, Rateb Abu Al-Ragheb, said the Bureau is "proud to be a strategic partner" in organizing this national event.

He noted JODDB plays a "key" role in supporting the cybersecurity and innovation ecosystem in Jordan, presenting advanced locally developed solutions in digital defense and future technologies.

He announced this year’s edition will feature the third "ARMYTHON" competition, which has recorded a 92.3 percent increase in global participation compared with last year, engaging 33 teams from 25 countries across South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The competition will have 12 categories and 200 technical challenges in cybersecurity and encryption, as four official teams represent Jordan, reflecting its commitment to developing human resources in this field.

Abu Al-Ragheb added that the exhibition will host over 50 local and international companies and institutions, representing leading sectors in cybersecurity and modern technologies, including major Gulf-based firms and Jordanian security agencies such as the Public Security Directorate, underscoring the strong international interest in advancing regional cybersecurity systems.

Jointly organized by the National Cyber Security Center, JODDB, and SOFEX Jordan, the exhibition serves as a regional platform for cybersecurity, aimed at reinforcing Jordan’s position as a leader in technological advancement and future solutions.

The event will feature several key activities: the "Dot Cyber Summit," the "Armython" international competition, an artificial intelligence exhibition, a live hacking contest, and a cybersecurity exercise targeting critical infrastructure sectors.
