Amman, July 28 (Petra) - The Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti discussed on Tuesday strengthening relations and addressing escalating regional tensions via phone call.
In telephone talks, Safadi and Nafti said they are committed to advancing cooperation across various sectors and reviewed the situation in the occupied West Bank.
They criticized the illegal Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, warning that they "breach international law, fuel instability, and undermine prospects for a just peace." Safadi and Nafti discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions across the region. They reaffirmed their support for dialogue to uphold the US-Iran ceasefire, advocate for a comprehensive agreement addressing the root causes of conflict, and ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
