Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) - The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Turkish Embassy in Amman agreed on Monday to activate the Jordanian-Turkish Business Council to boost bilateral trade, investment, and economic ties.

JBA Chairman Ayman Alawneh and Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Hakan Karaçay outlined the preparations for the council’s upcoming meeting, scheduled for early October in Istanbul, which will bring together private sector representatives to explore joint ventures and commercial opportunities.

Alawneh said the council is a crucial platform for direct business communication, seeking to facilitate trade, encourage mutual investment, and open new markets for Jordanian and Turkish companies. He stressed the importance of turning potential opportunities into tangible economic projects.

Karaçay, for his part, voiced Ankara's commitment to boosting economic relations, noting that the Istanbul meeting is a forum for private sector dialogue, showcasing priority investment sectors and fostering stronger partnerships between business communities.
