Abu Dhabi, July 24 (Petra)-- Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a Joint Consular Affairs Committee aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in consular matters.

The agreement was signed at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Abu Dhabi by Jordan's Ambassador to the UAE, Majed Thalji Al-Qatarneh, and UAE Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs Faisal Issa Lutfi.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jordan's Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Omar Al-Atoum.

The MoU reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties and close partnership between Jordan and the UAE, underscoring the two countries' shared commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors, particularly in consular affairs.

The agreement is expected to enhance coordination between the two sides, further develop consular cooperation, and improve the quality of consular services provided to Jordanian and Emirati citizens.
