Jordanian, Czech Business Meeting Explores Investment Opportunities in Energy Sector

Amman, June 17 (Petra) -- The Amman Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday hosted Jordanian-Czech business meetings in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in Amman and the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (EuroCham) bringing together Czech energy companies and representatives of Jordanian firms to explore cooperation prospects.

Amman Chamber of Commerce chairman Khalil ElHaj Tawfiq said Jordanian-Czech relations are a model of cooperation, based on mutual respect and shared interests, stressing the importance of strengthening direct engagement between the two countries' business communities and expanding economic and investment partnerships.

He said the chamber prioritizes supporting international economic cooperation and creating communication channels between Jordanian companies and their counterparts worldwide to promote investment, exchange expertise and knowledge, and facilitate technology transfer.

Tawfiq said the private sector is a key partner in advancing economic relations and translating them into practical opportunities and projects.

He noted that Czech companies have advanced expertise and technologies in energy, sustainability and industrial development, offering promising prospects for partnerships that support economic growth and enhance private sector competitiveness in both countries.

The head of the commerce chamber noted that bilateral meetings offer a key platform for networking, building professional relationships and identifying investment opportunities, voicing hope that the discussion will lead to new partnerships.

Czech Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Kučerová reaffirmed her country's commitment to expanding economic, trade and investment ties with Jordan and deepening private-sector partnerships.

She said the Czech delegation includes companies specializing in renewable and sustainable energy, smart automation, monitoring systems and energy management solutions, highlighting the potential for cooperation in these sectors.

Kučerová said such meetings provide a practical framework for direct engagement between Jordanian and Czech companies, identifying joint investment opportunities, fostering partnerships, facilitating technology transfer and supporting projects of mutual interest.

The envoy also stressed the importance of building on the strong relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic to boost trade and investment exchanges and create new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries' business communities.

For his part, EuroCham Chairman Mohammad Smadi urged closer economic cooperation between Jordan and European countries, noting that the chamber works to connect Jordanian companies with European counterparts and provide platforms that support partnerships, expertise-sharing and technology transfer.

The event featured presentations by Czech companies operating in the energy and smart technology sectors, followed by business-to-business meetings between Jordanian and Czech participants.
