Amman, Jan 7 (Petra) - The United Arab Organization for Scientific Research (UAOSR) has appointed Amjad Bahjat Shammout, a Jordanian human rights expert, as Chairman of its Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term, succeeding former Arab Parliament President Adel Al-Asomi.

Nasser Al-Fadli, UAOSR Secretary-General, stated that Shammout was chosen due to his extensive experience and distinguished Arab track record. He expressed gratitude for Shammout's acceptance of the role at a pivotal stage, two years after the organization's establishment and the consolidation of its operational foundations, and looked forward to achieving the organization's developmental goals with the new board members.
