Amman, April 6 (Petra) -- Medical teams at the Jordanian Field Hospital, Nablus/10, successfully performed specialized surgery on Monday to remove a malignant tumor from a young woman, according to a hospital statement.
Clinical examinations and diagnostic tests confirmed the presence of a mass that required immediate surgical intervention. Surgeons performed a total resection of the tumor in accordance with established medical standards.
Attending physicians confirmed the operation was successful and stated that tissue samples had been sent to specialized laboratories for histopathological analysis. The results will be used to determine the precise nature of the malignancy and finalize a comprehensive post-operative treatment plan.
Hospital management said the procedure is part of the ongoing humanitarian and medical mission conducted by the Royal Medical Services. The mission operates under royal directives to provide advanced healthcare support to residents in the Nablus governorate.
Since its establishment in 2023, the Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus has treated approximately 308,520 patients. Over more than two years of operation, the facility has performed 2,064 major and minor surgeries, providing 24-hour emergency care, laboratory services, and diagnostic imaging.
