Amman, June 11 (Petra) – Audit Bureau President Radhi Hamadeen on Thursday called for enhancing digital trust and developing modern oversight tools amid the world's rapid current transformations in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
Hamadeen noted oversight institutions are now required to adopt "more efficient" methodologies in auditing information systems, data governance, and managing digital risks.
Hamadeen's call came during his participation in a panel discussion, themed: "Building Trust in an Interconnected World: Role of Government, Industry, and Critical Infrastructure," as part of the 1st ISACA MENA Conference 2026.
Talking at the event, he said modern oversight is "no longer limited to traditional financial aspects, but now focuses on assessing readiness of digital systems, effectiveness of technical controls, and ability of institutions to manage cyber risks and deal with emerging threats." As for building trust in the digital environment, he said this process requires "integrated" efforts among government institutions, the private sector, and specialized professional bodies, particularly in sectors related to critical infrastructure.
He stated this integration is a "fundamental" element for enhancing institutional resilience, protecting vital systems and services, and ensuring the sustainability of digital transformation in a secure and effective manner.
He noted the Audit Bureau places "great" importance on developing its institutional and technical capabilities in the areas of information systems auditing, cybersecurity, and digital risk management.
This vision, he affirms, strengthens its role in protecting public funds, improving oversight of corporate performance, and supporting the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance in the public sector.
During the two-day conference held in the Dead Sea region, a select group of experts and specialists in the technology field from Jordan and the region discussed the future of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology governance, and building digital trust.
The event featured specialized discussions tackled the key challenges and opportunities on accelerating use of AI technologies, ways to counter AI-driven cyber threats, deception-based cybersecurity strategies, future of automated security operations and issues of digital governance and institutional resilience.
