Amman, April 1 (Petra) – Jordan’s national electrical grid experienced a moderate decrease in demand on Tuesday, with the peak load settling at 3,710 megawatts (MW). According to data released by the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), this represents a decline from the 3,860 MW recorded on Monday.

The shift reflects a gradual stabilization of energy consumption as the Kingdom moves away from the peak demand driven by recent weather conditions. During the height of the last atmospheric depression, electricity usage reached its maximum for the period, peaking at 3,870 MW last Wednesday.

The current load of 3,710 MW indicates that the grid is operating within manageable parameters as temperatures begin to moderate. NEPCO continues to monitor consumption patterns to ensure a consistent power supply across all governorates, balancing the output from traditional generation plants and renewable energy sources.
