JUST begins graduation ceremonies for Class of 2027

Ramtha, July 20 (Petra) -- The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has begun graduation ceremonies for its 38th graduating class for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The celebrations opened with the graduation of students from the Faculty of Medicine in a ceremony highlighting the university's academic standing and recognizing the graduates' achievements as they embark on their professional careers.

JUST President Khaled Al Salem, who patronized the ceremony, said a medical degree is more than an academic qualification, describing it as an ethical commitment and a humanitarian mission before it is a profession.

He said a true physician treats patients not only with knowledge but also with compassion, reassurance and integrity while respecting human dignity.

"The world today needs doctors who possess conscience as much as knowledge and who measure their success by the positive impact they leave on the lives of their patients and communities," Al Salem said.

He added that the university views its achievements as a starting point for further excellence through investment in people, strengthening scientific research, advancing medical technologies and expanding international partnerships to prepare graduates capable of leading the future and serving their communities.

Dean of Student Affairs Majed Masadeh said graduation marks a significant national and academic milestone that crowns years of hard work and dedication while opening a new chapter of achievement and service.

He expressed confidence that JUST graduates would continue to excel and make meaningful contributions to Jordan and their communities.

Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Batool Al Kassasbeh thanked the university's academic staff for their guidance and education and expressed gratitude to students' families for their continued support.

She said graduation marks the beginning of a new journey toward a future filled with ambition and achievement.

During the ceremony, graduates of the Faculty of Medicine recited the physicians' oath after Dean of the Faculty Firas Al-Qarqaz, reaffirming their commitment to medical ethics, humanitarian values and the faithful discharge of their professional responsibilities.

Al-Qarqaz said the faculty's graduates possess the scientific, professional and ethical qualifications needed to make a positive contribution in the medical field both in Jordan and internationally following years of academic preparation and training at the university.

Graduation ceremonies for the university's 38th graduating class will continue through July 28 and will include graduates from all faculties.
