KHCF, Excellence Fund Sign Agreement to Support 2026 Cancer Research Award

AMMAN, July 26 (Petra) -- The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Al-Hussein Fund for Excellence signed a cooperation agreement on Sunday to support the King Hussein Cancer Research Award 2026, designating the fund as a Silver Sponsor.
The agreement was signed by KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamish and Al-Hussein Fund for Excellence Director General Dr. Ali Yaghi, according to a KHCF statement.
Following the signing, a delegation from the fund toured the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), inspecting its medical facilities and advanced therapeutic services delivered in line with top international standards.
This sponsorship marks the fourth consecutive year of partnership between the two institutions, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing scientific research, encouraging innovation, and supporting researchers in developing high-impact studies to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Qatamish emphasized that backing scientific research is a cornerstone of KHCF’s mission, noting that strategic national partnerships provide a supportive ecosystem for researchers to develop clinical solutions that enhance patient outcomes and elevate healthcare standards.
For his part, Dr. Yaghi expressed pride in supporting the award, calling it one of the region's premier scientific accolades dedicated to combating cancer and alleviating patient suffering. He added that the fund's continued sponsorship reflects the banking sector’s strong backing for KHCF’s humanitarian mission serving local and regional patients.
The King Hussein Cancer Research Award is among the Arab world’s most prestigious honors in oncology research, aimed at recognizing distinguished scientists, encouraging groundbreaking research, and fostering a culture of scientific excellence across the region.
