Amman, Aug. 21 (Petra)-- The Kingdom will remain under the influence of a hot air mass on Friday, with temperatures expected to be around 4–5 C above their seasonal average.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, weather will be hot across most areas and extremely hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, with moderate northeasterly winds.

The department warned of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in the Badia, as well as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours. It advised the public to drink plenty of water and fluids, avoid leaving children inside closed vehicles even for short periods, and not leave flammable materials inside vehicles.

On Saturday, temperatures will drop, with relatively hot conditions prevailing across most areas, while the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba will remain extremely hot. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, occasionally becoming active.

A slight further drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday, bringing moderate summer weather in the highlands and plains, while very hot conditions will persist in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will be moderate and occasionally active.

On Monday, temperatures will rise slightly, with relatively hot weather expected across most areas and extremely hot conditions continuing in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate northwesterly.

Temperatures in East Amman are expected to range between 38 C and 23 C, compared with 36 C and 21 C in West Amman. Temperatures will range between 35 C and 20 C in the northern highlands, 36 C and 19 C in the Sharah Mountains, and 43 C and 24 C in the Badia.

In the plains, temperatures will range between 38 C and 20 C, while the Northern Jordan Valley will see 43 C and 26 C, the Southern Jordan Valley 44 C and 30 C, the Dead Sea 43 C and 29 C, and Aqaba 42 C and 29 C.
