Aqaba, September 15 (Petra) – Aqaba Digital Hub, operator of Jordan's largest data centre, has announced that "Klstrai," Jordan's first platform of its kind dedicated to AI compute, is now hosted and operational at its facilities, according to a statement.
The platform gives government entities, private-sector companies, startups and developers access to AI compute services from within the Kingdom. Organisations can use these services according to their business requirements without purchasing specialised equipment or building and operating their own infrastructure, helping them develop applications and introduce services faster and at a lower cost.
Klstrai provides flexible options for organisations at different stages of AI adoption, ranging from on-demand compute services to the development and operation of integrated solutions. Its applications include data analysis, document processing, process automation, digital assistants and customer-service solutions.
By providing AI compute services within Jordan, the platform supports the Kingdom's digital and data sovereignty. It enables organisations to keep and process their data locally, giving them greater control over their data and operations.
This local capability is becoming increasingly important as the use of AI applications expands and the need to process large volumes of data grows. Localising AI compute strengthens Jordan's readiness to develop and operate AI applications, supports the needs of government and economic sectors and reduces reliance on infrastructure located outside the Kingdom.
"Bringing Klstrai into operation marks an important step in the development of Jordan's AI sector," said Eyad Abu Khorma, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aqaba Digital Hub.
"The platform gives organisations access to specialised infrastructure within the Kingdom, helping them develop and operate AI solutions efficiently while maintaining greater control over their data.
"Through Klstrai, we aim to support local innovation and strengthen Jordan's position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and advanced computing services." The platform represents an extension of Aqaba Digital Hub's efforts to develop Jordan's digital infrastructure and connect the Kingdom to international telecommunications networks. It strengthens Jordan's capacity to host AI applications and meet the growing demand for these services across Jordan and the wider region.
