Moscow, Jan. 19 (Petra) - The Russian presidency, the Kremlin, announced on Monday that President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation from the United States through diplomatic channels to participate in a peace council concerning the Gaza Strip.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a press conference, "We are currently reviewing all the details of this offer," noting that Russia continues to call for adherence to the ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
