Amman, July 9 (Petra) - Kuwait on Thursday strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on its territory, calling them a dangerous escalation that heightens regional tensions and threatens peace and security.
In a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the latest attack occurred at dawn Thursday, describing the repeated strikes as a blatant violation of the country's sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a danger to the safety of its citizens and residents.
The ministry said the attacks constitute a clear violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. It stressed that Kuwait's security and sovereignty are a "red line," adding that the country reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and national security.
The ministry added that the continued attacks, despite ongoing regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, undermine initiatives aimed at easing the crisis and represent a direct challenge to the international community's efforts to promote regional stability.
