Amman, Aug 24 (Petra) – Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi on Monday called for leveraging accumulated national expertise and enhancing the presence of qualified individuals in state institutions to serve the country's best interests.

In remarks at a meeting with a Jordanian Diplomatic Club team of former ambassadors, Qadi noted the level achieved by Jordanian diplomacy in various fields.

Ex-diplomats are a national house of expertise, with extensive knowledge and experience in diplomatic work and international relations, which should be utilized to serve the state and its institutions, and promote Jordan's interests in regional and international forums, he said.

Head of the team, former ambassador Nabil Masarweh, stressed the importance of communication and cooperation with the legislature and benefiting from the expertise of former ambassadors in various foreign relations issues.
