Major US stock indexes rise for second day, S&P 500 reaches 7,499

New York, June 30 (Petra) -- Major US stock indexes advanced on Tuesday for the second consecutive session, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude settled at $70.14 per barrel.
At the close of Tuesday's trading session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 136.46 points, or 0.3 percent, to finish at a record 52,319.20.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite climbed 393.58 points, or 1.5 percent, to close at 26,213.72.
Concurrently, the benchmark S&P 500 index gained 58.93 points, or 0.8 percent, to end the session at 7,499.36.
