Irbid, June 22 (Petra) -- Government entities, municipalities, and local councils across Jordan have announced extensive preparations to host public live screenings of the national football team's upcoming 2026 World Cup match against Algeria on Tuesday morning.

Government and municipal authorities have coordinated with local communities to set up large display screens in several public squares, stadium sites, and youth facilities, transforming the historic fixture into a widespread community event.

In the northern region, dedicated buses have been arranged to transport fans from several northern districts directly to the ancient city of Jerash. Authorities there have set up three large outdoor screens in the archaeological site capable of accommodating up to 9,000 spectators.

Bilal Rafayah, District Governor of Al-Koura, stated that transport buses would depart from outside the district's administrative headquarters at 5:00 a.m. to ferry fans to Jerash. Similarly, Maysoun Khasawneh, District Governor of Al-Wasatiyah, confirmed that local coordination with youth centers and community groups would see transport buses leaving the municipality at 4:30 a.m.

Ghaith Al-Tell, spokesperson for the Greater Irbid Municipality, announced that the municipality will broadcast the Jordan-Algeria match on a large screen at the local Municipal Stadium.

Meanwhile, Fathi Khasawneh, head of the Al-Wasatiyah Municipal Committee, said that the national team's matches would be screened at the municipality's Al-Qamarain Hall, adding that administrative teams have aligned with public relations staff to organize public access.

Additionally, the Irbid Youth Directorate confirmed that live screenings of the match would take place at the Al-Koura district's Deir Abi Said Model Youth Center, as well as the integrated Al-Wasatiyah Youth Center.

The upcoming fixture marks the second group stage match for both nations in Group J of the tournament. Both Jordan and Algeria enter the high-stakes encounter seeking their first points of the campaign, following opening-match defeats to Austria and Argentina, respectively.
