Riyadh, Feb 2 (Petra) – Minister of Government Communication and Official Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from Arab countries, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum 2026.

In meetings with the ministers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen and Palestine, Momani noted His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to enhance relations with Arab countries in various fields.

He also told Syrian Information Minister Hamza Mostafa of Jordan's continued support for Syrian media and training Syrian journalists, and reiterated backing of Syrian efforts to achieve stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, Momani also discussed with Yemen's Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Moammar Al-Eryani media cooperation in the service of common interests and Yemen's security and stability, reaffirming Jordan's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and efforts and a comprehensive political solution that guarantees a secure and stable future for the country.

He reiterated a call for ending the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the agreed-upon frameworks to preserve the country's security, stability, and sovereignty.

In his encounter with Palestinian Minister and General Supervisor of Official Media Ahmad Assaf, Momani urged closer media cooperation to serve the Palestinian cause, reiterating Jordan's position on the need to make progress in implementing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to link stabilization efforts to a clear political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Momani stressed that the future of Gaza must be based on unity with the West Bank, as an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory, and also called for concerted regional and international efforts to halt illegal Israeli practices in the West Bank and Gaza Strip that undermine the chances of a just and lasting peace. He also said Israel should respect the historical and legal status quo of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
